ALL STUDENTS APPLYING TO THE PROGRAM MUST UPLOAD AND MAIL IN THE REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS SPECIFIED BELOW. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.

POSTMARK DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2010

Required Materials for BOTH Upload and Hard Copy Mail:

  1. Cover page indicating:
    • name
    • permanent home address & phone number (include cell phone and e-mail address)
    • college or university and expected graduation date
    • address and phone while attending college
    • status: freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
    • major/minor & GPA
    • number and title of category for which you are applying (see complete list of category descriptions for the Internship Program)
    • photo (optional)
    • gender & ethnicity form (optional)


  2. Professional Statement of 300-400 words discussing your professional objectives, the specific reasons for your choice of category and your perception of what a professional does in this category.

  3. Resume

Required Materials for Hard Copy Mail ONLY:

  1. Two letters of recommendation addressed to the Internship Committee (at least one must be from an academic and on the institution's letterhead) must be postmarked no later than March 15, 2010 or entry will not be considered.

  2. Transcript(s) of ALL college courses and grades, both college and graduate school, if applicable (unofficial photocopies will be accepted)

  3. Additional materials (ONLY as necessary where indicated by category)

Non-US citizens must provide an INS work authorization permit or CPT letter within 10 days after notification of winner status in order to qualify as a Television Academy Foundation intern. NO EXCEPTIONS! For details, check with your college or university.
